It is with great sadness that I have to announce the death of former League Treasure and Life Member , Mr Dennis Deere, who passed away on Saturday 9th August.

The League wish to convey their sympathy to Shirley and the family at this sad time.

The Sunday League WILL go ahead this season. There has been sufficient interest from Clubs wishing to play on a Sunday Morning. The exact format is still to be decided. The League will commence Mid September.

I have attended a SWFA Junior Forum held in the FAW Offices, where the new database was shown to supplement the above scheme. The first part of the set up will be done by the League, whereby all Junior teams from u/7 to U/16 will be entered into the database. The second part of the scheme involves the Clubs entering the names and qualifications of coaches, first aiders and volunteers who are involved with these teams.

The pre requisite for this is that all club secretaries and welfare officers have access to the internet, or access to the internet via others within their organisation.

If this poses a problem for any club within this League, please let me know ASAP.
