| There may be no more terrifying moment in a woman's life than finding
a lump. If she has to tell the people she loveshusband, parents, children,
partner, teammates, colleagues, friends, sisters, brothersthat it's cancer,
all of those lives are changed forever. Kicks Against Breast Cancer
and EPYSA are asking for your help to insure that every year fewer and
fewer women must have that terrible conversation. "Help Save The Women
You Love" is a new campaign in which Landon Donovan has agreed to be its
first spokesman. Kicks is selling a gold on gold lapel pin of a soccer ball with
a pink enameled ribbon. This has been the trademarked emblem for nine years of
the Kicks Against Breast Cancer college soccer tournament here in Maryland. The
Kicks tournament was developed by MSYSA board member, Louise Waxler, as a fundraiser
for the Claudia Mayer Cancer Resource & Image Center at Howard County Hospital
in Columbia, MD. This is an innovative, model program that helps women living
with breast cancer survive and thrive during the ordeal. It is an affiliate of
the renowned Johns Hopkins Medicine. Click
