|
Málaga Club de Fútbol is a Spanish
football club who were founded in 1994, two years after the
demise of the city's traditional major club, Club Deportivo
Málaga. The current Málaga club was built on the framework of
Atlético Malagueño, which was the developmental side for CD
Málaga, but a legally separate club founded in 1948. Malagueño
continued in the lower levels of Spanish football as the city's
main club, changed its name in 1994, and embarked on a journey
that took them to the Primera División in 1999, where they have
resided ever since.
The club plays its home games in the 33 000 seater Estadio La
Rosaleda in Málaga. |
