:: Welcome.

The Christ Church Ware football team is a group of men that either attend or are connected with Christ Church Ware. Most of the players are Christians, however non Christians are more than welcome to come and play. The ages of the players range from 16 to 60. We play in East Herts Christian League and cup competition. The aim of the team is not to win but to enjoy ourselves and play in a way honouring to God.

If you would like to play for the team, please contact Mark Pope.

:: News:

2nd May

We were again unbeaten in our last league game of the season where we drew 1-1 with St Mary’s Harlow (that’s an unbeaten run of three games!). This result ensured that we finished above Hoddesdon in the league This was another game of two halves where we completely dominated in the first and hung on rather in the second. On the strength of our first half performance I think we just shaded the game but I suppose we can’t complain too much about the result. Our goal came from our man of the match Fraser Higgs who had an excellent game in mid-field, there were also good performances from Dave Collins and Dave Moono upfront and from Ian Henry in mid-field from Danny Band and Matt Aitken at the back.

On to this Saturday, we are due to play All Nations in a friendly (at All Nations – kick-ff 10.30 am). Please could you confirm your availability by Thursday evening at the latest?
