The next Society meeting - to be held on
Thursday 11 December at our usual venue - note this is
the second Thursday of the month as we didn't think you
would want to be out too close to Christmas. This
will be a social evening with a few nibbles and a quiz.
Last
month we hosted a joint meeting with the AFA/LONSAR
society, and were joined by Alan Poulain of the Referees
Association.
Alan spoke in depth about
the benefits of the Referees Association - both those
that are visible to and hidden from members.
He stressed that they now
have a very good working relationship with the Football
Association, and not one that has seemed strained in the
past.
He was also questioned on
the manner of the rises in the Referees Association
subscriptions over the last couple of years.
For the answers to this, together with a more detailed
report on the evening , see the December Normidian which
is available by

This is our 60th Anniversary
season - a small celebratory
dinner will be held in January 2009; there are just 10
tickets left - contact Robin Jagot for details!
Following significant
customer feedback, the Eve of the Final Rally is
returning to its spititual home on Friday 29 May 2008 -
it will be held at the Hotel Russell, Russell Square,
London after two not so good experiences at Wembley and
the Emirates since the FA Cup Final returned to London.
See this months Normidian for details.
