Park Travellers v Cwmamman United
Neath & District Reserve Division 1

Park Travellers 8

Cwmamman United 0

Disaster struck for Cwmamman manager Barry Windsor on Saturday morning when the orange mobile network went down, leaving it impossible to get in touch with his players.(goodness knows how things were organised in the 90's) Luckily for Cwm,there were eleven players present and correct for kick off plus two substitutes.

Further bad news came for Cwmamman when they ended up playing the Park Travellers 1st team for the second time this season when their game was called off at the last minute.Even though Cwm were missing numerous players, they started well with Brendan Nicklin and  Richard Jones playing some neat football in the middle of the park with Carl James a threat down the right wing.It took a fantastic save from Paul'Twm Landek's  effort prevententing Cwm going one up from a Paul Teeps 30 yard thunderbolt that was heading for the top corner of the park net.Unfortunately for Cwm,the same old mistakes started creeping in at the back and a lovely 'flick on' from Cwm centre back Huw Jenkins that fell into the path of Park striker Tossell gave the home side the lead when he left Cwm goalkeeper Wayne Neal stranded.A freekick that went through the wall  left Wayne stranded for Parks 2nd and another disaster at the back for Cwm gifted Parks ginger monster Steven James a sitter.....which Neale left stranded again.

Cwm lost Huw Jenkins with a knee injury and Carl James with a slit Achilles early in the 2nd half which saw the introduction of Arwel Roberts off the bench for the visitors but was unable to prevent Park scoring goals at regular intervals

Goals continued to come for Park when Paul Davies blasted his attempted clearance into his own net past the stranded Neale and Brian James set up Dean Collins with a cracking ball across his own penalty area with the midfielder leaving Neal stranded once again.Final score of 8-0 flattered the visitors as it could and should have been more for the premier league team.Next week Cwmamman play AFC Pontardawe in what is a must win game for both teams if they are to challenge the 'big 3' in the division.
