07-09-08: NEW!  The complete squads from the 2008 Torneo Apertura of the Primera División in Argentina are now on the site!

02-09-08: The transfer window has now closed across Europe and we will endeavour to update all transfers as soon as possible.  Obviously we will be concentrating on those from the major leagues first, the remainder will be updated over the coming days and weeks, so keep checking back!

01-09-08: The complete squads from the new season of the Segunda División in Spain are now online!

30-08-08: The complete squads from the new season of the Primera División in Spain are now online!

27-08-08: The full squads from the new season of the A-League in Australia are now online - thanks, as ever, to Alex Chapman for providing the information!

25-08-08: The complete squads from the new season of both the Eredivise and the Eerste Divisie in Holland are now on the site - many thanks to Han Engberts for his excellent work on these.

25-08-08: The full squads from the new season of the Süper Lig in Turkey are now online.

23-08-08: The full squads from the new season of Serie A in Italy are now on the site.

21-08-08: The complete squads from the new season of the Superliga in Portugal are now online.

20-08-08: The full squads from the Eerste Klasse in Belgium are now the site.

15-08-08: The complete squads from the new season of the Premier League in England are now online.

ALSO! Already on the site are the full new squads from Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Switzerland and Ukraine.

PLUS! You will notice some important changes to the layout of the squads as from the 2008-2009 season which we hope will improve the site further!  Firstly, at long last we will be including the nationality of each player, using the recognised FIFA Country Codes - for reference, a full list of these can be found via the "Features" link on our menu.  Also, due to popular demand, the height and weight of players will now be displayed in metric, replacing the old imperial system which we have used since the site started.

CONTRIBUTORS REQUIRED: We are actively seeking people to take over the running of some of the existing leagues on the site.  If you are interested, please either e-mail us at info@footballsquads.com or leave a message on the Forum stating which league(s) you would like to help with and we will be in touch!  We are particularly interested in people to help with the updating of the Scottish squads, as well as certain countries from Eastern Europe e.g. Ukraine, Turkey, Poland, Croatia, & Serbia.
