The Austin Aztex announced that it has formed a strategic alliance with Club de Futbol Monterrey, better known as Rayados (the striped ones). Founded in 1945, Club de Futbol Monterrey is the oldest professional soccer club in northern Mexico and plays in the Mexican Primera Division, the highest level of soccer in Mexico. The U13 CASL RailHawks won the midfield battle, disconnecting Schulz Academy’s dangerous striker combination of Yulie Lopez and Sidney Morales to claim the U13 girls championship, 1-0 at Ed Radice Sports Complex in Tampa, Florida. The U14 girls from Atlanta ended their season unbeaten as 16-0-1 champions with a 2-0 win over the Richmond Kickers. Arsenal FC beat Diablo FC, 2-1 in overtime to claim the U15 girls’ title. [+]

MPS Cape Cod emerged as the first finalist in the U17 girls’ division following their 3-0 win over the Cal Odyssey in which Devin Petta scored two goals and Andrea Nogueira added two assists. The Ottawa Fury became the second roughly two hours later, winning 2-0 over the Northern Virginia Majestics to advance to tomorrow’s 11:30AM Championship match at Ed Radice Sports Complex in Tampa, Florida. Two 1-0 wins propel Mountain WFC and TSF Academy into final

TSF Academy’s U16 boys’ downed Kendall SC, 1-0 and Mountain WFC beat CZ Elite by the same score two hours later to advance to the finals of the U16 boys’ tournament as part of the 10th Annual North American Finals at Land O’Lakes Recreation Center in Land O’Lakes, Florida. The two winners will face each other tomorrow at 11:30AM at Ed Radice Sports Complex in Tampa for the right to call themselves the best U16 boys’ in the U.S. and Canada. [+]
