Lahore, 1 December : Pak Steel kept their hopes alive for next year's A-Division football when they overcame Karachi Electric Supply Corporation ( KESC) 3-2 at Peoples Stadium, Karachi in the 175th match of Pakistan Premier Soccer League 2008. Earlier the first leg at Karachi's Pakistan Steel Township Ground saw 0-0 score line on 13 October 2008. Abdul Hafeez-led Steel, who promoted to A-Division by finishing among top two in PFF League 2007 at PAF Complex, Islamabad, will now depend on elsewhere for their destiny when PEL will go all out for three points from their remaining matches against PTV (3 Dec) and KRL (5 Dec). |

Afghan cause stir : edge out PIA 2-1 again |

Lahore, 1 December : The leading goal scorers of both the teams struck a goal each as Afghan FC overwhelmed PIA 2-1 at Govt High School, Chaman in the 174th match of Pakistan Premier Soccer League 2008. Earlier the first leg at Karachi saw Afghans registering one of the most memorable wins in their history with identical scoreline last October at Sharafi Goth. Afghans, who were in relegation zone alongwith Steel and PEL to join relegated PTV before the match, finally avoided the agony and make sure A-Division Football in 2009. |

WAPDA widen the gap : thrash PTV 5-1 |

Lahore, 30 November : Titlist Pakistan WAPDA continued giant march towards their seventh national title when they thrashed PTV 5-1 after 3-0 at interval in the Pakistan Premier Soccer League 2008 at PSB Ground near Hamidi Hall, Islamabad. In other two matches today, Pakistan Navy were involved 0-0 with PMC at Naval Complex , Islamabad. Army struck twice in second session to beat PEL 2-0 at Army Stadium, Rawalpindi. |
