Award from UEFA
On 1st of February a press-conference devoted to the youth
football tournament “Coca-Cola Bylgary Dop” with participation
of representatives of the Football Union of Kazakhstan,
Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan
and “Coca-Cola” company was held. At the press conference
the certificate in recognition of “Coca-Cola Bylgary Dop”
as the most valuable grassroots football event in Kazakhstan
in 2006 by UEFA was presented to the public. Besides that,
the organizers have shared their plans and ideas for the
current year.
Askar Akhmetov, General Secretary of the Football Union
of Kazakhstan: “Football – is not only the World Cup matches
or the Champions’ League, it is not only competition between
the professionals some of whom earn millions of dollars
for their skills. Games of boys at school pitches or playground,
sometimes three against three, sometimes with shabby balls
or even at snow – these are also football. Exactly at this
spot, at playgrounds this glorious game takes its rise.
Thus, grassroots which also implies youth, women and amateur
football, and football among disabled deserves our highest
attention. Each year each country - member of UEFA organizes
many grassroots tournaments and all of them are united under
a single slogan “UEFA Summer of Grassroots Football”. Later,
upon their ending the most important and interesting tournaments
gain recognition and appreciation as well as an award, such
as the certificate. The Union of European Football Associations
has pointed out our tournament as well “Coca-Cola Bylgary
Dop”. This means that a year ago we all together – the Football
Union of Kazakhstan, Ministry of Science and Education of
the Republic of Kazakhstan and “Coca-Cola” company have
made a right decision to revive this tournament. For us
recognition by UEFA is very important, but at the same time
we consider it as a stimulus for future. We want “Coca-Cola
Bylgary Dop” to become a part of a daily life of Kazakhstani
schoolchildren. So that, gathering together the kids would
not discuss only the events happened at yesterday’s disco
or to crow about the level passed by him at a new computer
game, so that football would find its place in their lives.
This is our aim and we believe that together we can achieve
this aim”.
Seilda Baishakov, ex-defender of FC “Kairat” and USSR team,
head specialist of the Football Union of Kazakhstan on youth
football: “Receiving an award from UEFA is very pleasant,
however our most valuable achievement is appreciation of
the tournament by the kids themselves, their parents and
teachers. In 2007 we will try our best to cover even more
schools and even more participants. On 16th February meeting
of the organizational committee of the tournament will be
held in Almaty, after which the “Coca-Cola Bylgary Dop 2007”
will start. The first matches are planned to be played in
March in Southern regions of the country”.

Seminar for Kazakhstan doctors
On
May 21-22 in Almaty was held a seminar, dedicated to the
activity of the football teams' doctors. The course program
was including the following issues: epidemiology, the risk
assessment; muscles injuries; nutrition; pharmacology in
football; injuries of children and adults; joint angles
injuries; shoulder injuries; doping; knee injuries; rehabilitation.
The lectures for the Kazakhstani specialists were represented
by the Danish doctor Morgens Krutzfeld - Member of the UEFA
Medical Committee and the Principal Doctor of the National
Team of Denmark: "I'm very honored to be here. Our
courses are the part of the UEFA program of exchanging experience
and introduction to the specialists some new technologies
in sports medicine. Last year I was leading such courses
in thirteen countries.
I 'm very impressed by the professional level of your doctors
and by the level of our discussions. I think we've done
a great and productive work. Another important point is
that the Kazakhstani doctors have had a chance to discuss
altogether the questions they were interested in".
Vitaliy
Topkin, the masseur of the National Team of Kazakhstan:
"The program of course was very interesting and intensive.
It captured the questions that the Kazakhstani doctors always
have to deal with. I would like to stress out several key
moments of the seminar. For instance, the quality of the
game and the risk for football players to get an injury
directly depend on a quality of a football playing field
surface. As you know, this is very important for us. Very
often coaches are more interested in results and don't let
the players to heal their injuries completely and allow
them to play when they are not restored well.
Also I would like to say that we have high qualified doctors
as well and their questions had frequently surprised our
Danish guest. He appreciated them so much. I think that
our football will only have benefits when our coaches will
start to consult the team doctors and have a close collaboration
with them".
From

of Kazakhstan says: " It is very pleasant for us to
work with the " Special Olympics Kazakhstan "
- the organization, propagandizing sports among people with
disabilities. We are glad that we can make our contribution
to this movement. We wish our team good luck at the games
in Dublin. Guys, love football, football - is the ambassador
of peace, it unites people. Remember, that the Football
Union of Kazakhstan works for you as well, in order to make
you feel like high-grade representatives of the Kazakhstani
sports ".
Asylkhan Samratov, the chairman of the Republic's council

would like to thank the Football Union of Kazakhstan for
the attention to our movement. This organization was the
