The Lightning GU15 Premier girls soccer team consists of
17 talented young women from throughout North County San Diego.
The Lightning GU15 Premier team is a CYSA-South class '1'
girl’s soccer team from Carlsbad, California. The team
plays in "Circuit Division 32-GU15 Premier" of the
Presidio Soccer League of San Diego County.
 The
team began their 2004-2005 season with a Championship win
at the South Coast Invitational Tournament and won the California
State Cup Finalist honor in the GU14 division in May of 2004.
Fourteen of the girls are returning players from the Lightning
Soccer Club with three new players from surrounding clubs
joining the roster. Seventeen girls comprise a top-notch team
that anticipates a highly successful 2004-2005 soccer season.
The girls are guided in their soccer playing ability and
ball skill development by Coach Martyn Hansford of Birmingham,
England. Martyn has 20 years of soccer playing experience
behind him, having played for pro Aston villa FC Birmingham,
England and Liverpool John Moores University Football team.
