Welcome to GTSC's home page. GTSC has over 700 boys and girls from ages 5 to 18 years old, playing in fall and/or spring seasons. Our club plays in the Greater Charleston, WV area and is a member of the KANAWHA VALLEY SOCCER LEAGUE (KVSL). Our goal is to provide the children of our community an opportunity to learn and play the game of soccer in a positive atmosphere, and try to ensure that they have lots of fun while exercising. As an all VOLUNTEER organization, we are always looking for help. If you would like to help, please email us or contact anyone on the GTSC Board of Directors.

Thomas Health System Under-10 Soccer Festival updated 10-17-08
The Thomas Health System is sponsoring its annual U10 soccer festival.

USSF Recertification Clinic updated 10-3-08
A USSF Recertification Clinic will be held at the Huntington YMCA on Saturday, Nov, 15, from 9am - 1pm. This clinic will recertify for the 2009 season those referees who have been certified in 2006, 2007 or 2008.
Who: All Referees. Note: If you attended the New Referee Clinic at the Huntington YMCA Kennedy Center in August 2008, you do NOT need to attend this recertification, but are welcome to do so. If you attended the New Referee Clinic in March 2008 or prior to that, then you need to recertify to referee in 2009
When: Saturday, November 15th
Where: Huntington YMCA (Old Huntington High School building downtown Huntington), NOT at the Kennedy Center
Time: 9am - 1pm
Cost: $45 (checks made payable to WVSA)
YOU WILL NEED
1.) The completed recertification form sent to you by USSF (blank forms will be available), along with your game count and USSF ID number;
2.) A pen/pencil and paper for the exam;
3.) The registration fee of $45 (checks made payable to WVSA).
We will likely have another recertification clinic in Huntington in early March, but if you do not recertify before December 31, you cannot referee any USSF-affiliated matches in 2009 until you do recertify for that year. If you complete the recertification now, you will suffer no gaps in your eligibility to referee USSF-affiliated matches. I know of no other recertification clinics scheduled in WV at this time.
U15 Game Schedule Change updated 10-2-08
Parents, players and coaches PLEASE check this out. For weeks 5-7, the U-15 matches will start at 1:30 (10/4), 12:00 (10/11) and 10:30 (10/18). The team previously scheduled for the 2nd match needs to be aware that the starting time for their match will be earlier than shown on the original schedule.
Lost Ring updated 10-2-08
A ring that is 2-toned band of white gold and yellow gold was lost on the U-12 field at Greif Brothers West this past Tuesday at practice. The KVSL has produced a NEW instructional video to help parents show the basic fundamentals of soccer.
