• Language is a casualty amid slaughter of Bombay
The two 'm' words out of a group of three get to the heart of the matter: the BBC news last week repeatedly referred to 'militants in Mumbai'. They were not 'militants', and it is not 'Mumbai'. They were terrorists and it is Bombay.
• Not drunk, just disabled
Getting sloshed in the workplace is not a good idea. After all, your office performance suffers, you lose whatever shred of respect your colleagues may ever have had for you and, in an entirely random example, you end up filing your column two hours late and getting sacked. But there's good news -- it's not your fault.
