Lazio eliminates Milan from Coppa with 2-1 win
3-Dec-2008

MILAN, Italy (AP) - Goran Pandev earned a penalty and then scored the winner to rally Lazio to a 2-1 extra-time win over 10-man AC Milan and a spot in the Italian Cup quarterfinals on Wednesday. After Andriy Shevchenko put Milan ahead, Pandev drew a penalty that Mauro Zarate converted in the 87th. Then the Macedonia striker pounded in from close range two minutes into the first extra period. Milan midfielder Emerson picked up his second yellow card in the 66th but the Rossoneri took the lead in the 77th as Shevchenko broke out of his scoring slump. The Ukrainian faked out a defender and managed to get off an accurate shot while falling down from beyond the area. Shevchenko's only other goal this season came against FC Zurich in the UEFA Cup two months ago. Full Story...
