The FC Delco College Night was held under wet and dreary skies on Monday evening, Nov. 28,  at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, PA but that didn't dampen the spirits of the evening.  This year, our format changed a bit to showcase more top level players including the U-16 and U-18 Academy Teams from both FC Delco and PA Classics as well as the U-16 and U-17 FC Delco Teams playing against High School All-Star Teams from Southeastern PA.  All four games were played on the two Turf Fields in front of coaches representing over 65 colleges.  To read more about College Night, click on this FC Delco College Night link .

FC Delco Acadamy Staff Coach, Kirk Johnson, has been named Head Coach by Coaching Director Alan Mezger for the U-19 Boys for the upcoming late spring season.  Kirk is an FC Delco alumni member and was inducted into the FC Delco Hall of Fame in 2005.  Any players born after Aug. 1, 1989 are eligible for this team which will be conducting tryouts later this spring.  Interested players are urged to contact Coach Johnson with their interest and for further details.

The ownership group for Major League Soccer Philadelphia 2010 announced the hiring of two more key executives on Monday -- Rob Smith as director of operations and Dave Debusschere as chief financial officer. Both executives will officially begin their assignments on June 2.
