Footysearch is a comprehensive directory of English-language soccer-related web sites from around the world, with a Football search engine to enable you to find web sites of interest quickly and easily. There are over 15,000 links on the site in over 3,000 categories. Our experimental news service aggregates headlines from the leading football news web sites around the world and is updated throughout the day. How do I get added to Footysearch? Footysearch mostly uses data from the Open Directory Project. At the moment, the easiest way to get your site listed on Footysearch is to get it listed on the ODP - find the category on Footysearch which is most appropriate for your site and then click the "Submit a Site" link at the bottom of the page. How do I remove my site from Footysearch? If you want to remove your site from Footysearch, please get in touch with us at the address below. Please note however that we refresh our site weekly from the Open Directory Project, so in order to ensure a permanent removal from Footysearch, you must arrange with the ODP to have your site removed from there too. What have you got planned for the future? We're working on new features for Footysearch at the moment. Currently in the pipeline are a ranking and ratings system for sites, listings of new and the most popular sites, and integrating the news service into the search engine. Beyond that, we welcome suggestions - please get in touch with us at the address below. What technology is used on Footysearch? Our software is custom-written in perl, and is not publically available. We use MySQL for our database. The server runs on FreeBSD. How can I get in touch with you?
